Howard Galley was the editor of the BCP, and also the author of many parts. He was an out gay Leatherman who lived in a triad. At his funeral, there were bishops in purple and leather folk in black.

It's worth your time to see the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. It's not as grand, huge, and awesome as St. Patrick's, it's just stunningly beautiful.

St Patrick's being finished makes for a better exterior, but by all interior measures it is surpassed.

St John the Divine is larger in area and maybe the longest cathedral anywhere. And Riverside Church is the tallest in America. Not knocking St Patrick's as it is a beautiful example of 19th century religious architecture, but it isn't the largest by any measure. Though some might know St John the Divine as being unfinished.

had Rev Barber there in ?2016 just before the election.

Back to St John's. If you love Cathedral Architecture you must visit!

They've had Rabbis, Imans, Secular people speak from the pulpit. His Holiness The Dali Lama has been there. Native American Elders have been there in place of Columbus Day celebrations.

Been there many times for special cultural events which may, or may not include a Mass.

BTW, prior to entering politics, Trump used to attend church only twice a year in Pam Beach, Easter and Christmas. The church he attended was Bethesda-by-the-Sea. It's an Episcopal church. Ahhh, the irony....

Wouldn't be surprised to see action taken against those that dare defy the emperor.

was a member of an Episcopal church in San Jose, whose members, from what I could gather, actually walked their talk, helping people, being good community members. Betty used to describe herself as the ultimate reichwing nightmare. . a leftwing evangelical, as were, apparently, a large number of the congregation. During her last few weeks, I spoke with her minister several times, and was very impressed by her. After Betty died, that lovely minister called me several times to see how I was doing, and to offer an ear/shoulder if I felt the need. I reminded her that, not only was I not a member, I wasn't even in the state. She said it didn't matter, that she knew how close Betty and I were, and she would be there for me if I had need. I have never forgotten.
