I don't expect a very big crowd to begin with. Hardly anyone who lives in the city will have any interest in the parade (A reminder that Harris got more than 90% of the vote in DC, Trump got 6%). Of course there could be severe thunderstorms, with lightning strikes and tornados in the area and Trump will still insist the parade go on.


Edit: For the record, Trump got a grand total of 21,076 votes in DC in the 2024 election. (The voting age population in DC is over 550,000. So less than 4% of eligible voters in Washington DC voted for Trump)

Forecasts for the area are mixed, with most suggesting at least some degree of bad weather. But forecasts can turn on a dime around here. I kind of hope that all hell breaks loose, but I’d hate to see any soldiers or bystanders harmed, especially those in the air. You just know that the toddler would insist that ‘the show must go on’ despite warnings to the contrary. At least he can’t take it inside this time.
