bear the unique distinction of being the only band I tried to see (on three different occasions as I recall) but didn't.

Now ironically named, Sly Lives. It really worth watching. There's a lot of historical footage and contemporary interviews.

..when he was at his peak in popularity.
When he sang the song, Family Affair, most of the very youngest in the audience sort of took over the stage. It was cool!
However, he was about an hour late, because he had done too many drugs.
