Musk's just fucking carpet bombing Twitter. It's gonna be counter-productive for me to do a blow-by- blow.

He's really just calling Trump's bluff on the threat to terminate his grants and contracts. I don't believe he's taunted him with "TACO" yet, even thought the Epstein tweets are multiplying rapidly.

If Trump DOES TAKE ACTION against Musk and hurts him financially, Musk WILL retaliate. It's just a matter of how effectively.

We the people pay the tariffs.

For many years the Repudiates have been trying to get rid of the income tax and shift to the sales tax, which is more of a burden to poor people since we pay a larger percentage of our available income to sales tax.

Finally, they found out we were wise to that trick, so tariffs are replacing that CON.

FRUMPIES DREAM was to replace the income tax with the tariffs to achieve the same outcome as the sales tax scheme. Hopefully, people are wise to that. Sales tax=tariffs=sales tax.

Surely most of his wealth is tied up in Tesla and SpaceX shares. If those companies tank, he loses a massive chunk of his fortune. He'll still have his propaganda platform, but without his vast fortune he will be far less powerful.

On the other hand, that propaganda platform does have massive reach. How hard will it be for Musk to convince Republicans to ditch Trump and replace him with Vance?

Tesla shares are only around 25% of Melon's total. (13% of $840 billion or about $109 billion.)
Of course, his net worth includes $44 billion for Twitter, when it was worth about 20% of that. So, there's one inflation point.
SpaceX is a different matter. It's market cap is over $400 billion & he owns 42%. So, $168 billion.
So, we're at $322 billion, out of around $420 billion.
If those tank there is still potentially $100 billion left over. Not exactly GoFundMe time.
Of course, I can't attest to how fragile the other $100 billion is.
If Tesla & SX tank, it could take other investments with it.

It’s not sustainable in my opinion either. You can’t just tax your way out of overspending. What’s the next lever? I believe that the budget needs to be balanced. You have to balance the spending with the income, which means some spending needs to be cut until the debt level is lowered. With lowered interest payments, more money can go towards services. I’m not republican. My circle is not either and have the same beliefs. Clinton had a balanced budget.

So if I am prone to conspiracy theories and a billionaire says, the president wouldn’t of won w/o me and we wouldn’t have the house and

We would only have 51 senate seats not the 54 we have now

That is weirdly specific and since I know there are 4 states that have an odd vote proportion from pres race to senate race

So yes I believe him

But all we have to do is hand count those ballots and we would know

I find it hysterical that people would rather lose our democracy to *rump instead of hand counting the ballots because they need proof of bad actions before they can look for proof of bad actions

Putin put F45 in office so that he would give up Ukraine- F45 is failing him on this.
So, I believe that Pootie is working with Musk to get F45 out & JD in ASAP.

This rift allows the GOP to rally around their party leader and embrace the Big Beastly Bill in support against “that drug-addled Musk” who they saw as a drag on the administration's public opinion numbers anyway.

For Musk, it allows him to say he is separated from Trump and politics in hopes that it renews Tesla’s value.

Musk said nothing today that lands Trump in hot water. Trump’s statements on Musk aren’t nearly as vociferous as those he usually unleashes on his targets.

But if Musk has a big enough crowbar to knock Trump out of the WH, I'm in favor. It would be a matter of whether there are yet enough House repubs willing to impeach, and then we'll see how McConnell votes a second time around. Repubs refusing to impeach will get "clocked" in the next election.

I don't know how many "news aggregate" sites like Raw Story, Daily Beast, etc that you follow, but all of them have had an increase in the "Don't believe the stories about Musk leaving" headlines.

I didn't believe he "left" anything. I believed he took a lower profile in the media because whether he liked it or not, he realized he couldn't get away with the "In the headlines 7 days a week" thing that Trump did. People don't like him. He sort of admitted it AND made excuses for it all at the same time.

But yeah...being THAT CLOSE to the presidency, being able to manipulate him and influence him...that's a filled crack pipe for a power addict like Musk.

Justice matters.

Either he has follow-through on this, and sees the releases of sensitive information, or he's going to be limned with 'nothing but bluff & bluster' forever more. He's got to know this.

On the other hand, playing this hand this early is not a rational play imo. This is the option you keep in your pocket and never even glance at it until there's no other p[lay left.

So I don't get it. None of 'em have the emotional discipline to play this as a con, and Mr. trump's tantrums have tells, and today's tantrums are tellin' us he's mad as a hatter.

Heard about how he could grab them by the pussy anytime he wants? Made a habit of barging into the pageant dressing rooms so he could get a good look at some naked girls?

She and others accepted all that and much more; I'm betting the Epstein revelations and others would just cause them to clasp their blinders on a little tighter.
