If as you say, Brian Karem has recently written anti-MAGA anti-Chump articles, it's possible that the editors and managers are getting some pushback. Not every writer has exclusive control of their work in some publications.

We've seen this being done in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette which used to be a reliable blue voice in a blue city, until the Block family owners of the Post-Gazette started usurping editorial privileges when Chump came on the scene about 10 years ago.
