Here we go again with the ridiculous “both sides” nonsense. A quick history lesson:
1.Holocaust – no “both sides.”
2.Pearl Harbor – no “both sides.”
3.Apartheid – no “both sides.”
4.Rwanda Genocide – no “both sides.”
5.September 11th attacks – no “both sides.”
6.ISIS atrocities – no “both sides.”
7.Russian invasion of Ukraine – no “both sides.”
8.Saddam Hussein’s chemical attacks – no “both sides.”
9.Slavery – no “both sides.”
10.Taliban’s oppression of women – no “both sides.”
Sometimes right and wrong are crystal clear.

I'm seeing more of it now around me, and I understand the urge to lay down weapons of insult and invective. But I think it's wistfully naive. And we will be taken advantage of...again. Lucy and the football? How many times...
WE always reach out, WE try to understand them, WE give the benefit of the doubt, WE take the high road. And we lose and THEY win. I'm still waiting for THEM to reach out to us. And I know I'll be waiting a LONG time. Because in this game, we tend to play fair and they cheat. It's stacked against us.
This time we must fight for our principles. Take a page from Ukraine and take a stand. Whatever form of pushback short of violence. But playing nice is just NOT the way to go in the face of this evil.
