I "had" MSNBC and CNN via Sling TV, which I canceled late last year. I've never seen Jennings, and if he was on the air prior to my canceling, I'd stopped watching because of CNN's decision to become "Fox News Lite."'No one voted for that, Scott': CNN's Jennings scolded over Trump's cancer cuts
I'm not posting the content, because Jennings IS reciting Republican talking points. I did want to point out that he says Trump's bullshit budget bill is "exactly what Trump ran on, and why he won," and when pressed by Joanna Coles of the Daily Beast, saying voters DID NOT VOTE FOR CUTTING FUNDS FOR CANCER RESEARCH, he pretends that he's not aware of cancer research cuts.
Kind of like the time, right before the election, when Trump said he'd never heard of Project 2025, didn't know any of the people involved, but wished them luck anyway.

(18,579 posts)But have you watched MSNBC lately? The last 2 days have been non stop Liberal.
Producers are watching to see how things are going.
Ari Melber is negotiating with 2 other big wigs and is also thinking of starting his own station. You can bet he will have plenty of backers. He is bringing in Dylon Ratigan who slyly said, I will see you again, soon!
The wind is shifting. No one is afraid of Trump tantrums any more. He just sounds like the Grammy, old Get off my porch guy!

(1,965 posts)a different MSNBC because I'm definitely not seeing "non-stop liberal". If anything, they seem to be having more Rs and R-leaning guests.

(21,758 posts)The "All Star Panel"...you could see that storm cloud pass over all of them when it became clear that Trump was going to win. They didn't have a fall-back plan that they could just snap into. They felt the same way the rest of us felt and it was not something I wanted to see on a regular basis. And I'm not even including Katy Tur, who...from what I've heard...has only gotten worse.

The whole countrys gonna be like you wanna know the truth? (Trump) said. Itll be like Detroit. Our whole country will end up being like Detroit if shes your president aware Were a developing nation, too. Just take a look at Detroit. Detroits a developing Detroits a developing area, hell of a lot more than most places in China.

It is a constant Republican refrain for many years that these large American cities that have decades of history of electing Democrats and that have poor economic outcomes, or poor crime outcomes, or poor education outcomes, its because of the local leadership, (GOP strategist, meaning Moscow Mitch-n-Baby Doc Bush spokesturd, Scott) Jennings said. And so I think the point he was making is maybe we can do something different than just keep electing the same Democrats whove hurt these cities.
CNN commentator Ashley Allison had a markedly different take.
Donald Trump wanted to say, Detroit equals Black. That was a code word that he just did. And I would say, if you go to the city of Detroit, the revitalization of downtown Detroit, Detroit has been pretty substantial. Is it all the way back to where it was when it was booming? No, but the investment and local Detroit is real.

Jennings isn't just stupid. He's on CNN being stupid. After Trump was shot at in Butler, Jennings blamed the Democratic Party and its candidates, along with CNN, for spreading violent rhetoric. That story from the NY Post:
I have to say, when I see what Democratic politicians say about Donald Trump, when I see what Democratic commentators say about Donald Trump, and their platform is built on a bunch of lies, frankly, that are designed to radicalize a political base, it makes me wonder How much do they really care about the violence that you and I both agree is terrible? Jennings asked.
He called out the Harris campaign for fearmongering about what the country would look like if Trump becomes president again.
The underpinning of her campaign, I mean, she repeats it herself, Trump will be a dictator on day one. I mean, this country fights dictators. Thats what our history we fight dictators, he said while the panel erupted to protest that it was true.

That's not misinformation; that's disinformation. The guy has no business being on CNN, let alone network television or cable. Hes a well-paid liar.
