Why is CNN still obsessed with Joe Biden.

As everyone may or may not know, CNN’s resident right wing hack Jake Tapper has just written a book about Biden. Tapper has been attacking Biden since the summer of 21, so it’s no surprise Biden still lives rent free in his head, along with Obama and Hillary Clinton. But now the publication of this book has given every CNN anchor to grill any democrat about Biden.
Who cares that the current president is illegally deporting people, targeting universities, dismantling government agencies, defying the court, accepting gift from foreign countries and trampling all over the constitution, Joe Biden is what’s really important.

Fri May 16, 2025, 10:01 AM
May 2025
https://www.mediamatters.org/cnn/warner-bros-ceos-comments-further-illustrate-cnns-lurch-right

CNN’s noticeable shift to the right seems to be part of an overarching strategy under the direction of CNN CEO Chris Licht and supported by parent company Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav. Zaslav admitted at a recent media conference that he and Licht had told GOP members of Congress that appearing on CNN would help them get House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s House leadership vote across the finish line back in January.

Zaslav also claimed, “CNN should be where people come for the best version of the truth and for journalism, and that is what we are building.”

His comments come just days after Licht held a disastrous town hall for former President Donald Trump (the day after he was found guilty of defamation and sexual abuse in a civil suit). Under Licht’s leadership, two CNN journalists who openly criticized the right have been fired. Reporting suggests that these moves were part of a concerted effort to prevent CNN personalities from continuing to call out Republicans for undermining democracy.

Licht’s recent decisions are accelerating CNN’s turn to the right. CNN has also hired pro-Trump commentators in recent years, allowed commentators and guests to lie about climate scientists, platformed a variety of right-wing figures to spread misinformation on the network, and been celebrated by right-wing media for parroting extremist talking points.

Tapper knit his teeth as the guy writing in Salon.com about how outrageous the Bush camp was being after the 2000 election. He's never struck me as Right-wing but kind of middle-left. There are numerous videos of him giving lying Trumpies unshirted hell on Youtube.

What he does do is deal in cold hard facts. So I find him worth reading and seeing even if I'm well to his Left on many questions.

But it’s hard to look at Tapper’s long history of bashing Democrats, from Gore to Obama to Clinton to Biden, and claim he’s not biased against democrats.

Plus why go to the time and effort to write a book about Biden, which Biden aides have already denounced, while Trump is destroying our democracy. It’s like writing a book about Churchill’s drinking while Hitler is invading Europe.

but CNN and their vermin want to continue to beat a dead horse, as though this is some kind of "coverup" revelation has been discovered.

Of course it didn't bother them when trump couldn't recognize Jean Carroll, and thought it was his wife maples. It doesn't bother them when trump starts pushing incoherent sentences or falls asleep at events and meetings.

And tapper is the worst of them. He wears his bias on his sleeve for all to see. During the evacuation of the U.S. from Afghanistan when the troops were targeted by a bomb, tapper's foaming at the mouth rant against Biden was probably one of the most disgraceful presentations that a pseudo journalist demonstrated.

CNN is actually worse than fox. They try to give the illusion that they are objective, when they have never been since Ted Turner left. Fox has no pretense, they let everyone know they are an extremist right wing outlet.

Both cnn and fox are blocked in my house. It comes as no surprise that cnn airs episodes of bill maher's real time bullshit.

If I want news I can get it from Bloomberg, BBC, and plenty of other places.

As far as I am concerned CNN is just another outlet carrying the water for trump.

They should have laid off tapper and not Acosta, but it is obvious they don't want to offend the emperor who has no clothes, just like what CBS through 60 minutes seems to be doing.

The actual giants of the industry who stood up to governmental abuses are turning in their graves from the state of journalism, or lack thereof in the country.

Where are the Walter Cronkites, Edward R. Murrows, etc. when we need them more then ever.

I wouldn't even use his book to line a birdcage with.

📘 Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again

Authors: Jake Tapper (CNN) and Alex Thompson (Axios)
Release Date: May 20, 2025
Publisher: Penguin Press

This investigative book delves into President Biden's physical and cognitive decline during his presidency and the alleged efforts by his inner circle to conceal it. Based on over 200 interviews with Democratic insiders, it recounts incidents such as Biden's failure to recognize longtime friend George Clooney at a 2024 fundraiser and discussions among aides about the potential need for a wheelchair if he were re-elected. The authors argue that the decision to run for a second term, despite evident health issues, led to internal party turmoil and contributed to Donald Trump's 2024 victory.

Author: Ben Schreckinger (Politico)
Published: 2021

This biography offers a comprehensive look at the Biden family's political ascent, exploring both personal and professional aspects. It provides context on the family's influence and dynamics leading up to and during Joe Biden's presidency.

A picture of President Obama greeting Caroline Kennedy at some White House function was "proof" they were having an affair, not to mention that Michelle was running around with Secret Service agents. According to the Enquirer, the White House was a huge den of iniquity with those two.

And then Trump came along, a REAL cheater-in-chief and horndog president and crickets. They not only covered everything up, they ran glowing puff pieces about the whole damn family, how beautiful and righteous they all were.

his approval ratings would be close to 0. The corporate media is a big party of the reason Trump won the presidency twice. Defending the actions of these multibillion dollar corporations is just carrying water for Trump.

one in a long list of media outlets that don't give a single damn about truth or real reporting. All they want are click-able headlines, and almost all of it is biased and full of s***. Nothing they say can be taken as fact. Look at how much of their ehe, news is based off of "unnamed sources", or just quotes from politicians or other analysts. It's almost all BS.
I often see people all bent out of shape over what these "news" outlets publish. Life would become a lot more clear if people realized that they are not on your side of anything. They exist to make money and.. well that's it. Money. They shouldn't care what it does to our policy or politics. They aren't supposed to be any of those things, they are supposed to provide meaningful information based on fact, whether we like hearing it or not. I haven't found a single outlet in existence today that tells the complete truth.

I think some interests are using meritless/irrelevant criticisms of Pres. Biden to deflect attention from trump's failures. I don't think they realize that well has run dry, but I doubt that will stop them.

we could have had a proper primary and then not have a current president who is illegally deporting people, targeting universities, dismantling government agencies, defying the court, accepting gift from foreign countries and trampling all over the constitution.

Just bs based on anonymous sources while many of the real people named are calling out the lies. https://www.rawstory.com/jaime-harrison-biden/

And perhaps the way out of the current mess is to call it out now instead of dredging up the past.

He showed you the first time who he was and still Hispanic, Middle Eastern, white women and farmers
Voted for the man who screwed them the first time. His cognitive decline was there for everyone to see and still they voted for him . He told people he was going to deport them , guess what. Joe Biden did not help them make boneheaded decisions based on their stupidity and prejudices. Stop making excuses for people who didn’t give a damn about anyone but themselves. Those of us who cared about others and our country voted right.

she had run in and won the primary. She would have been able to distance herself from Biden.

But there are of course other Democrats who could have been great candidates such as Andy Beshear or Roy Cooper, both of whom have won state-wide elections in states Trump won in 2024.

Don’t blame democrats because republicans wanted to hate, to fear others and to have billionaires and tech bros Manipulating the easily led. Our media played a large part also some of it owned or financed by tech bros. When you allow people to have too much money ,in some it creates a god complex and some people worship that also, 64% of white men voted for a felon and a rapist. That speaks to their narrow vision . And if we want change in this country American voters must start electing who is best to lead this country rather than a con man who reflects their values. They don’t find him reprehensible they applaud what he is doing. As to the gentlemen you mentioned good luck getting legislation passed. That was Joe’s gift he knew how the senate worked and how to move legislation through.

Wed May 14, 2025, 11:32 AM

All these media spots on Joe's "senility" or unfitness for the presidency are attacks on his policy.
Joe was just too liberal--his policies worked too well--therefore they must make sure people think he was senile.
Joe Biden was the best president of my lifetime--they can't let that happen again.
