Where Are The Former Presidents?

As we are experiencing a fascist takeover of our federal government and the destruction of our democracy, where are the former Presidents and why have they not spoken out against this emerging coup? Clinton, Bush, Obama, and Biden should all be speaking out. They all have a certain amount of moral authority and they should be using it in this time of constitutional crisis.

I fear. Bush honestly doesn't care. Obama and Clinton are wealthy and are pretty much above the fray, and Biden is rightfully pissed at a nation that scorned him.

Hope I am wrong but don't think so.

are now both "wealthy", they don't care much about the country or its future, i.e., "are above the fray"?

11. Yes, I sorta do. The day of the inauguration was as disappointing a scene as I ever saw.

The presence of the former presidents gave legitimacy to a man who broke his oath of office a dozen times the same day he took it.

Don't have a funny figure to display how terrible this made me feel. Sorry about that.

Want an excuse to lockup political opponents.

Why aren’t former POTUS speaking out - I’m sure that I don’t know. Maybe they figured that Trump has the Office and American Voters voted for him and his lying agenda.

Maybe they are waiting for the Military Coup that will help protect our Country and they might be asked to organize a new government because it is pretty damn apparent the current one isn’t working.

Maybe they are waiting for the American People to stand up and say “Enough”.

Maybe, just maybe they realize that they can’t really be a true voice of opposition until the American People (as a whole) understand the danger they are in and what we are about to lose.

Sadly, the MAGA cult is too damn stupid and probably would have the Nation implode rather than admit they were wrong.

So are the ex-presidents. Maybe they're waiting for a significant event.

I feel we're in for a Kent State-like episode on steroids.

People will start taking it to the streets and protesting. Today, as discussed on another thread here, Trump is demanding Jeffries apologize for telling people to take it to the streets.

So that sets the stage to blame Jeffries and democrats for any violence that comes from demonstrators in the coming weeks/months.

Trump is itching to tell Hegseth to fire on protesting democrats, particularly BLM. He wants blood. When the blood spills on the streets, then the ex-presidents will speak.

I hope my feelings are 100% wrong on this.

I speculate they are talking about it, but maintaining a level of secrecy. No point in divulging now.

Maybe a call to action. Maybe they could urge federal officers to act on their Oaths to defend the Constitution. Musk and his DOGE Agents are illegally taking over the Treasury and locking everyone out of the government. This is unconstitutional. Only Congress has the right to fund or cut funds from the Federal Government. The Trump Musk Regime is in flagrant violation of the Constitution. People who swore an Oath to defend the Constitution should be urged to do just that. Whoever is ordering this illegal takeover at Treasury is making an illegal order. We have a lawful right to stop them. Maybe they could say something like that.
