The 2 million employees -- which agencies?

Found this link on distribution of Federal employees. The biggest is the defense segment.

https://ourpublicservice.org/fed-figures/a-profile-of-the-2023-federal-workforce/

I suspect that for every employee who resigns there will be one or more contractors filling their spot possibly including the one who resigned! The works has got to get done.

They plan to get rid of all fed employees, courts, congress and even the Supreme Court. One CEO [trump or vance] will control everyone and all the money.

But Contractors taking full time positions are even more expensive. Because the company or corporation providing the workforce needs to carry overhead to maintain a quality workforce and make a profit, too.

4. The GOP administrations always do this and the Dems have to clean up the mess left behind.

Contractors ultimately cost more because they defraud the government more. They have no allegiance to making things work better for the people served by government. They also have to be taught by the civil service workers what the fuck to do and how to do it. The more political appointees are placed in these jobs, the worse government services get. At the end of each administration, the "poorly educated" crony employees appointed in service positions try to convert to regular civil servants and hence the permanent workforce increases.

My niece retired from her OPM job that she had held for 20 years. Four men and one woman were hired withing two weeks to do the job she had been doing alone. (Bush admin)
