In a Monday appearance on CNN, he complained that sanctuary cities are making it very difficult to arrest the criminals.
For instance, Chicagovery well-educated, Homan continued. Theyve been educated on how to how to defy ICE, how to hide from ICE. Ive seen many pamphlets from many NGOs: Heres how you escape ICE from arresting you. Heres what you need to do."
They call it Know Your Rights. I call it how to escape arrest, Homan added.

(23,917 posts)We have an active resistance. I drove by local home depot where there are usually Hispanic men looking for jobs. I actually hired a couple of them in my moving job and the number of men were minimal maybe 5 where there were usually 20-30 out there.

Or know aomeone else who would have been glad to take them off your hands?
At least I hope I have put some ideas into someone's mind to
organize a way to employ them before ice gets them!

(6,200 posts)Lot's of very good info there in the PDFs at that link, but many of the resources listed in them are Illinois-specific. A list of other similar state-specific PDFs would be very helpful. I am thinking of printing some out to distribute directly and via my local library.

(8,416 posts)A couple of us went to a printer and ordered 2,000 immigrant rights "red cards." We expect to have them ready to hand out on Friday. We will leave them at food banks, churches that have Spanish masses, taquerias, etc. The ILRC (Immigrant Legal Resource Center) has a page with links to printable red cards in multiple languages. Link here: https://www.ilrc.org/red-cards-tarjetas-rojas#:~:text=Red%20Cards%20%2F%20Tarjetas%20Rojas. We went to a commercial printer to get cards printed in English on one side and Spanish on the other. Our immigrant communities have the misfortune to live in a small red county (population 160,000) with two ICE facilities (one ERO) and a sheriff's department with a signed 278(g) memorandum.
