Trumpf Gives Elon Musk Access to All Unclassified Data in the US Government

Money buys you this.

The fine print of a sweeping executive order seemingly grants Elon Musk — the wealthiest and arguably most powerful unelected figure in the world — and his associates at the somehow-still-real Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) access to all unclassified data held by US government agencies, according to Wired.

Under the executive order, the Trump Administration didn't create a new federal advisory committee. It instead repurposed the United States Digital Service (USDS), an existing government organization with sweeping access to vast caches of data across government agencies, including the sensitive information of US citizens, as the "United States DOGE Service" — a move that seemingly opens the door for Musk and his operatives to access a massive amount of data without much transparency oversight.

This move allows the Trumpf administration and his goons to data mine the American people, and in essence, conduct warrantless internal surveillance.

Dogecoin (or DOGE) is a cryptocurrency that Musk is heavily invested in, hence the DOGE Dept of Govt Efficiency name. If he can pump up the value of DOGE, he makes money.

Here's the Dogecoin dog, it's used in DOGE cryptocurrency memes. Yet another example of grifting!

DOGE can cut thru Cabinet Dept privacy regulations, becoming "one-stop shopping" for information on John Q. Public.

DOGE personnel will be able to construct a dossier on anyone in the US without a warrant or need-to-know thru:

School loans/grants.
VIN numbers.
Medicare insurance company.
FAA license for planes or drones.
Mortgage assistance loans.
SEC filings.
Federal firearms licenses.
SSS registration.
VA hospitals.
Social security info.
BOP info.

Think of any federal department that you have dealt with. The IRS auditor doesn't know which VA hospital you go to or whether you're on a TSA watchlist. A DOGE analyst would.

Here's an example. The Social Security Master Death Index is supposed to be free and available to the public. But is it really? Here's the website: https://dmf.ntis.gov/index.php

DOGE will have easy access to it, no paperwork or registration.

DOGE will cross over Cabinet position authorities because they won't need permissions: Justice Dept, HHS, Dept of Transportation, SEC, FEC, FAA, etc.

"Ah Mr. Smith, you applied for a pilot's license, but you are behind on your school loans. You're father is on AARP Medicare Plus and your wife's Toyota SUV was recalled in 2014. Your daughter travelled to Mexico four times in two years. You owned a .38 Smith & Wesson revolver in 2003. To whom did you sell it to?"

this picture of an actual Doge is probably inaccurate, but it was the earliest I could find.

This is Simon Boccanegra, the first Doge of Genoa. He was elected to the position, but he was elected to be an absolute ruler. That was the only form of government most people knew about at the time Genoa was, of course, not the only city-state in what we now know as Italy. which was ruled by a Doge at one time or another. Most people who know what a Doge is usually think of Venice first. But I'm an opera nerd, and the only Doge I know the name of is this one.

22. Trumpf Fires All Three Democrats on Privacy Oversight Board
Tue Jan 28, 2025, 09:26 PM
Tuesday
Trumpf fired all three Democrats on the Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board (PCLOB), bringing much of its work to a standstill. The move guts a board designed to ensure the government’s work to fight terrorism is balanced with protections for civil liberties.
The White House informed the three Democrats on the board on Thursday it was seeking their resignation, but the members were officially terminated Monday.

To go after political enemies like Liz Cheney or the Vindman brothers, DOGE will give Trumpf a superpower that Richard Nixon didn't have when he ordered the IRS to conduct time-consuming audits on his enemies.

Thanks to DOGE, Trumpf or his cronies can learn plenty about their enemies without a warrant.

More guardrails protecting our privacy and civil liberties have been eliminated. Democratic-appointed federal judges who oversee FISA warrants in the 94 US judicial districts remain.
