Safe at home for this part. There is no way to explain this insanity other than to say that it is insanity.
This is the kind of shit that causes me to smoke pot and go to therapy on a regular schedule in order to remain sane-ish.
You mentioned transitioning to a more localized route, is that still in the works? A cross country route just seems uncomfortable for you in the home environment. Not sure about the change in pay, if that's a thing, but for your home life, long haul seems like it can't last all that long.
