Colombian president Gustavo Petro announced on Sunday that he had blocked US military aircraft carrying deported Colombians as part of Donald Trumps immigration crackdown from landing in his country.
Mexico had also reportedly refused to receive a similar flight on Saturday, according to US officials cited by Reuters and NBC News.
In a post on Twitter/X, Colombias leftist leader wrote: A migrant is not a criminal and must be treated with the dignity that every human being deserves.
That is why I ordered the return of US military planes carrying Colombian migrants, Petro wrote, sharing a video of Brazilian deportees who had been flown out of the US on Friday, shackled at the wrists and ankles.

Petro has always been a courageous man. Now the orange beast will be going after him for also daring to deny him satisfaction.
Undocumented people in cuffs and shackles? Doesn't that seem totally out of line?
Don't be surprised if we will learn there's been an "accident" which claimed the lives of a flight of Latin Americans. That was a big fave of the dictatorship in Argentina, while Kissinger was still the Secretary of State. Kissinger counseled the Argentine dictatorship to move quickly with their nightmarish violence before the U.S. Congress could get wind of it and object to prevent it.
Republicans have always admired the Latin American military dictatorships which have murdered people they didn't like.
How soon will it be before Trump introduces the conspicuous violence again? We already know he approves of everything which will help him "win."

i hope the countries will unite in not accepting deportees, there is strength in numbers. It will be hard to go to war with all of them. But there are other ways he can get revenge. And he'll take on the whole hemisphere before he'll accept defet or embarrassment.
