JD Vance -- What an SOB!

JD Vance has blistering response for Catholic bishops who criticized ICE raids in churches: ‘Worried about their bottom line’

Scrolling down to the money quote.
... “I think that the US Conference of Catholic Bishops needs to actually look in the mirror a little bit and recognize that when they receive over $100 million to help resettle illegal immigrants. Are they worried about humanitarian concerns? Or are they actually worried about their bottom line?” he asked. ...

Many lawsuits filed for sexual abuse by clerics have the church running scared. When plaintiffs started winning big judgements, many dioceses 'gave' assets to church related groups so they could show empty pockets and avoid big settlements. IOW, they knew they had abusive cleric and they want to duck responsibility. So, yeah, worried about their bottom line and resorting to chicanery to protect same.

Evangelical Christians, and Christian Nationalists like Russell Vought, the current Trump pick for Office of Management and Budget Director.

Vought is an Evangelical Christian and a self- described "Christian Nationalist".

Christians
A lot of them believe only their “Christian following” is the correct one
Example Catholics will put down Unitarian
And vise versa

Say they don’t worship the correct way

I hear it all the time and it doesn’t seem to matter which religion is talking they are saying the other religion is wrong

Don't forget the Ultra-Orthodox, such as the Hasidim.

It's been my experience that the Ultras shun the Orthos.

(I am an atheist, but I get along fine with Orthos.)

I meant to respond to the person who said, "Because Catholics aren't the right kind of Christians?" Unlikely, since Vance himself is Catholic, as he states in the linked article (and elsewhere).

I am certainly laying no blame on any religion or denomination.

And I don't know the relevance to Russell Vought. I'll go back and reread thread.
