Thus Economy can all go extremely bad very fast, in just a few weeks. IF workers fail to show up nationwide

https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2025/1/25/2299167/-Pay-attention-Things-could-get-ugly-real-fast-if-this-one-thing-happens

…… something really huge and crazy might be about to unfold over the next month or so.

What am I talking about?

I noticed a post on Threads yesterday from someone who reported that his job was operating a very large and expensive piece of heavy equipment. But on Friday, he was unable to work. Why? Because the people who do the dirty work of setting up and maintaining that piece of equipment just never showed up?

Why?

Because they were terrified of being detained by immigration cops.

…..This could all break down very very fast and the economy could be in free fall.

Like literally, within the next three or four weeks.

How?

Well, if 40 or 50 or 80 or 90 percent of the people who the good bishop talked about in her sermon the other day, don't show up for work, what do you think would happen?

Remember that woman, after his agricultural tariffs? I was surprised there wasn't more of that last time but then the pandemic hit & got politicized & then all they cared about was anti-fax-mask policies. But I'm really pissed at the 6 million who voted for Biden but not Harris. WTF? Did they forget how bad it was under Trump?

Some are not worried too much,

They just go on with the life regardless of Trump v.2.0

But they have been here in US for over 20+ years,
And with no Green Cards.

A few have bought houses here in US, improving and adding on to their houses,
Pay taxes, pay high property taxes too.

Those who bought their houses in US years ago,
get the same tax benefits as US citizen with a Homestead,
But a few bought their house in US state where the bitter Republicans stripped
non US citizens of that tax property benefit.

Years ago, back when President Reagan a Republican, quite a few
people I knew from Mexico were able to get their legal papers to stay in the USA,
I even helped with their paperwork.

One that became a US citizen, worked as a Highway construction manager,
A very good salary and benefits. His child born in US went to law school and
that female child is now a member of the state bar 😃
