Education Dept. Ends Book Ban Investigations , immediately hailed by conservative groups

Education Dept. Ends Book Ban Investigations
The department said it would relinquish its role investigating schools that had received civil rights complaints after removing books dealing with sexual and racial identity.

The Education Department said on Friday that it would no longer investigate schools that remove books from their libraries, emphasizing its new stance by dismissing 11 pending civil rights complaints related to book bans in public schools.

The move, immediately hailed by conservative groups, represents a significant whittling-down of the department’s traditional authority as President Trump’s incoming administration makes rapid strides toward its goal of relinquishing oversight of education to the states.

Reacting to an aggressive wave of book challenges in public schools, particularly to books about sexual and racial identity, the Biden administration in 2023 created a book ban coordinator role intended to monitor what experts called an alarming trend.

That coordinator also had oversight of the department’s response to the challenges, as the Education Department is generally legally required to pursue investigations into complaints that allege civil rights violations.

many humans still have that desire.

Anthropology - Neanderthals and Modern Humans (Homo Sapiens)

Modern Human adapted, by learning and respecting it's environment.

Neanderthals did not. I look at magas that way.

Let them burn as many as they can and your hoard becomes more valuable every day.

How long before they start banning movies, TV shows?

Here is how to get around it: Establish a religion that uses banned books as foundational texts. Include the Bible highlighting its most salient and sensual texts. (Thinking about Lott offering up his daughters to service strange men.) Call the religion :Humanism or Humanity with a gospel of DEI as foundation principles. Meet on Saturdays. Put Joel to shame by opening up a 40,000 seat venue for holding services. Use collections and donations for your tax-protected church not to buy planes and luxury cars and real estate for personal family use. Bank the money and when you have enough, buy a couple of cities in red states and blue states. Proceed from there to ...affordable housing, affordable food, good schools with highly educated, compassionate teachers, good paying jobs making chips, and items that every household uses whatever...use some imagination.
