The release of hostages held in Gaza since Hamass 7 October 2023 attack on Israel is expected to begin on Sunday, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahus office said on Friday.
Subject to the approval of the cabinet and the government, and the implementation of the agreement, the release of the hostages can proceed according to the planned framework, with the hostages expected to be released as early as Sunday, the office said in a statement, reports Agence France-Presse.

Hamas says obstacles to ceasefire deal have been resolved
Hamas said on Friday that obstacles that arose in relation to the terms of the Gaza ceasefire agreement have been resolved, according to a statement issued by the group.

at 12 noon on Monday, January 20.

I would rather see hostages being released on that day than the ascension of a wannabe dictator. I would welcome the end of hostilities, if even temporary, than have to witness the decline of our nation. I actually am more concerned with the release of the hostages and the cessation of war than "timing". But that is just me.
