Infamous Jew-hating racist Mel Gibson gets 'special' job from Trump - Daily Kos

Donald Trump is appointing three washed-up actors to serve as "special ambassadors" to Hollywood, including the notoriously racist and antisemitic Mel Gibson.

"It is my honor to announce Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone, to be Special Ambassadors to a great but very troubled place, Hollywood, California," Trump wrote in a Thursday post on Truth Social.

...in 2006, Gibson went on an antisemitic tirade during a drunk driving arrest in Los Angeles.

According to a police report, "Gibson blurted out a barrage of anti-semitic remarks about 'fucking Jews'. Gibson yelled out: 'The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world.' Gibson then asked: 'Are you a Jew?'"

Gibson and Voight, I get. Two peas in a fascist pod. But Stallone? Though I must confess I know nothing of his politics.

You can sort of see all the pieces falling into place. I frankly don't know how successful this effort will be, but the intent behind it is worth nothing. There are particular messages MAGA wants to inundate the country with, while this effort to consolidate tremendous wealth among the top-most elite at just the moment where the world temperature has breached the 1,5 C mark. (I never believed for two seconds that the top conservatives in this country--or the world for that matter--didn't believe in global warming).

I'm sure T would be delighted if Hollywood (and Disney, Netflix and all the major studios) sent the unconscious message that everything is going great and that we need to calm down and distract ourselves from where all our money is going. And just maybe the obsession with the open, unpopulated spaces of Greenland and Canada isn't idle stupidity or a joke?
