Sad story out of Wisconsin...

I've heard of elderly guys doing this in other states too, robbing a bank so they can live the rest of their lives in jail rather than homeless.

Complaint: Suspect robbed bank because he’d ‘rather be in jail than be homeless’

APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) - A man suspected of robbing a bank told police he’d recently lost his job and “would rather be in jail than be homeless,” according to a criminal complaint.

Martin Schiedermayer, 63 of Appleton, is accused of robbing a Wells Fargo bank in Appleton on Tuesday morning.

I'm 65 myself, and I have a number of elderly aches and pains, and other medical issues.

At 63. That's ancient to most employers today. You are lucky if they talk to you.

APPLETON, Wis. (WLUK) – The suspect charged for allegedly robbing an Appleton bank Tuesday was familiar with the bank, as [b]he was convicted for a 2011 robbery at the same place.

I wouldn't worry about copy-cats. There are people who don't function well outside of prison, so they commit crimes to get back in.

And he used the same excuse in 2011!!!

They are a red state now. Why don't they ask their new president to do something about it?
