What members of Trumps new Republican blacklist have in common - MSNBC. Every American should understand, this will be 4 years of hell, 4 years of assaulting our Constitution and Democracy, 4 years of attempts to eliminate democracy and freedom.

The developments left many observers with the impression that Trump and his team had effectively drawn up an intraparty blacklist of sorts, filled with Republicans who are held in such low regard that those who worked with them are necessarily tarnished in the eyes of the president-elect.
Its against this backdrop that Trump has abandoned all subtlety on the point. The Hill reported:
In an item published to his social media platform, the incoming president wrote that it would save time, money, and effort if people agreed not to send, or recommend to us, people who worked with, or are endorsed by Americans for Prosperity, former White House National Security Advisor John Bolton, Haley, Pence, former Defense Secretary Dick Cheney, Liz Cheney, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley or either of his first-term defense secretaries, James Mattis and Mark Esper.....
The president-elect didnt just say that these individuals were not welcome in his administration, he added that anyone who worked with them will be blocked from executive branch employment, too.
It reflects a rather twisted approach to partisan loyalty: If you worked with Republicans that Trump tapped for powerful positions, you need not apply for positions on Trumps incoming team. It doesnt matter if youre qualified. It doesnt matter if youre experienced. It doesnt matter if youre a lifelong Republican who backed Trumps candidacy. It doesnt matter if Americans would benefit from your public service. What matters is whether youre associated with a Republican whom Trump considers insufficiently loyal to him personally.
Theres never been a presidential public statement quite like this one.

President-elect Trump on Wednesday said he would not consider individuals affiliated with a host of Republican rivals and critics for jobs in his incoming administration, singling out former Vice President Mike Pence, former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R), among others.

CHAPIN, S.C. (AP) Nikki Haley received more Republican primary votes than anyone who challenged Donald Trump for this years presidential nomination. She has said shes voting for him, and she released her delegates so they could support him at the Republican National Convention.
But unlike some of Trumps other GOP primary rivals, such as Vivek Ramaswamy and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, she hasnt been on the campaign trail supporting her partys nominee. According to a person with knowledge of the situation, Haley has given Trumps campaign a list of dates on which she would be available to help him, but no appearances have been scheduled.
When Haley did end her 2024 presidential campaign after the Super Tuesday contests, she waited two months to endorse Trump. In June, she released her delegates so that they were free to support him at the Republican National Convention. At the July gathering, to which Haley was a last-minute invite, she told her supporters, You dont have to agree with Trump 100% of the time to vote for him.
She has said for months that shes on standby to stump for Trump. Shes launched her own Sirius XM radio show, on which she frequently makes the case against electing Harris, and she has recorded robocalls for the campaign and made low-dollar fundraising appeals, according to her advisers.
