NATO: Norwegian F-35s deployed after Russian aircraft entered Polish airspace

https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/nato-norwegian-f-35s-deployed-after-russian-aircraft-entered-polish-airspace-2025-01-16/

BRUSSELS, Jan 16 (Reuters) - Two Norwegian F-35s stationed in Poland were deployed on Wednesday in response to a "massive number of airborne Russian aircraft" entering Polish air space, NATO's air command said on Thursday on social media platform X.

It was the first time Norway's F35s had been used in Polish airspace after they were sent there last December.

problem is, it may be against putin/musk/shithole's favor.

One thing about the USA's citizens, recently, we do care a lot about our soldiers/military and we don't want to be involved in someone else battles and wars.

Just like the Chinese plan to get regional control over the Pacific.

Then China and Russia can be the 21st century superpowers.
With the US weakened and degraded, the path is clear.

It is quite naive and foolish to underestimate these plans.

For all practical purposes, a nation WITHOUT a navy neutralized Russia's Black Sea fleet. And I'm supposed to fear them still? Even without US involvement, NATO far more powerful and advanced than Russia on a good day.

China is the only real player here. Russia is dying. Demographically, economically and militarily. Take away the nukes, and they're a greater Kazakhstan. A poor, backward country like they've always been. In the 90s, when the veil was finally stripped away, it turned out the old Soviet Union was a paper tiger, hopelessly backward technologically and we were afraid of ghosts. A mirage. From the performance of their current equipage, it seems they still are.

And don't expect much help for them from China. More times than not, they don't like each other. Beijing is using Russia for cheap oil, political leverage against the US and little else.

And they've built up a modern military that can make Russia suffer badly (barring nuclear weapons use).

https://www.euronews.com/2023/09/06/poland-said-its-army-will-soon-be-the-strongest-in-europe-but-is-that-possible

Even without the US, Russia would be wiped by a handful of EU nations, especially now that they've been weakened in Ukraine.

he ain't got much muscle to flex. NATO would slap down every Russian aircraft that enters NATO airspace with relative ease and he knows it. In fact, the VVS couldn't gain air superiority against the antiques Ukraine fielded in the first months of the war. Still can't. That's the impetuous behind glide bombs, released from the safety of Russian airspace.

Flexing? Kind of like some skinny teenager flexing in the mirror.

I'm 80. I'm so pissed off I just knocked out three sets of 25 pushups. Goddam it, I will get up to 3 X 50 and challenge the asshole to a contest. An 80-yr-old retired Army Ranger kicking his ass.

to the basement, where there were black and yellow radiation placards.

I am sure I didn't understand the implication then. The placards stuck around in school basements, in my early years, even after the drills stopped.

I know the implication now.

And here we are, as I am all these decades older.

We now know better than the naivete of the drills.

I can't write this without acknowledging an almost tear. My pain and angst is for the younger ones of today...not myself.

I'd say it's long past time.

I'd been wondering why Joe hadn't declared war on the pariah paper tiger.

NATO has been meeting for days.

Now shitbag pootin is saying 1 condition for end of his war on Ukraine is that Ukraine must never be allowed to join NATO.

Personally, I'd tell him sure & as soon as he gets his sleezy ass out of Ukraine, I'd rush membership through & dare him to fuck with Ukraine again!
