Serious Question

In light of more disasters as a result of climate change, do you have photos of all your important documents, treasured photos, family recipes, old letters, etc?
Have you saved them on a computer somewhere and have you ensured that at least one family member has copies?

I have had a bulky Iomega 500gb external drive for storage for many years but the smaller flash drives are easier to store and grab if needed to leave. So glad for technical progress!! 😊👍

Been working on it forever, and have copies of vitals here or there. What I've done is backed up. But there's more to go. Much more.

USB drives, miniSD drives, are cheap. A terrabyte of miniSD is about $15. For large volume SSD's are affordable.

There is also the cloud, with yearly fee.

Relative backup is a golden nugget of an idea.

Sent a lovely teacup and saucer to my oldest niece that belonged to mum and her mother before her. I had no idea she’d be so delighted but she loves her afternoon tea 😀. Been sending them drives with family photos.

We have no choice
I cannot imagine the tears over lost stuff and the hassle associated with replacing documents after that fire in LA
