Where are you going for news now?

I stopped watching MSNBC after the Morning Joe kissing the ring fiasco and have tried to peek in on CNN a few times, but they are awful and even amateurish, really worse than local news.

I need a TV news source I can trust to inform me, but also just enjoy watching.

Is there anything? I don’t think there is, but I am open to suggestion.

You might be better off building up a list of trusted independent news sources online.

I generally come to DU as a first stop, then follow up with links and threads I find here to dig into news stories. So, I’m pretty good as far as staying informed.

I’m looking for something to feed my TV news habit. I’m going through MSNBC withdrawal and looking for a fix.

Lots of great independent news organizations post there regularly. Many legacy organizations do as well.

No more television. Can't even watch MSNBC for more than a few minutes before I get pissed off. I just want information. Not so much people telling me how I need to feel about it.

My substack list is growing- Recently added the Contrarian because its staffed by some of the best writers out there.

I've cancelled the newspapers too as they are all run by right wing cranks now- LA Times, NY Times.

Even all of these will be put on the shelf for 72 hours beginning 1/20 during my self-imposed media blackout as I do not want to get sucked into the vortex off all the craziness that will be reported on the first few days of this new American hell.

They have a dollar a week deal for four weeks. After that, I'll consider a yearly subscription. These seem pretty truth based and journalistically sound.
