Update on Getty Villa Museum from NYT

Although trees and vegetation at the Getty Villa have burned, the museum remains “safe and intact,” officials said on Wednesday. The Getty Villa will be closed “at least through early next week,” Katherine E. Fleming, the chief executive of the J. Paul Getty Trust, said in a statement. Out of caution and to help alleviate traffic in the area, officials also said the Getty Center in Brentwood would be closed at least through Sunday.

i recall a fire in the last couple yrs in the area, and they explained that the landscaping was done in accordance w fire prevention standards. the bldg has state of the art fire suppression systems.
there’s no way the artwork burns, short of a meteor strike.
